To start off our summer, Blake and I had the pleasure of staying at the brand new SLS Brickell Hotel in Miami!! I had the pleasure of attending a private launch by their pool when they first opened and knew I had to add it to the list of amazing hotels Blake and I would visit on our re-launch of our “Adventures Of Blake & Mommy” travel series.
Once we arrived, we were greeted the most intriguing interactive visual with 6 monkey that interact with you as you move around in the lobby. Then from the fun lobby, we were greeted by a very interesting elevator with life-size 3D pictures of people (that actually felt as if their eyes were watching us! lol)
Once we arrived to our room the first thing Blake went for, as always, is of course the snack bar. He completely devoured the jelly beans and the peanut M&M’s and mommy also decided to make a little mimosa to settle in. ☺️
While I took a shower in the beautiful marble bathroom, Blake decided to make himself comfortable and watch a little television before we went to dinner. Since a baby, he has always loved the idea of staying in hotels. So much that we would stay in a hotel at least twice a month because he liked the idea of “room service, a cleaning lady, and an elevator” (his words, not mine). When I would explain to him that he basically already had those things at home, it went on deaf ears because he didn’t see it that way. You see, like myself, Blake LOVES to travel!! And anytime either of us can pack a suitcase, even if its on a local staycation, it feels like an adventure abroad. The great thing is that Blake and I reside in beautiful South Florida. Our city is where millions of people spend thousands of dollars to visit yearly, and we are lucky to have all of these attractions such as the SLS Brickell Hotel, accessible to us right in our backyard.
After dinner we came back to the hotel and then noticed how HUGE our balcony was!!! From the balcony we were able to view S Miami Avenue and all of the bright lights of Brickell.
The very next morning we were excited to go have some fun in the pool, but the rain had other plans. So after a little work and morning tea, we decided to take a tour of the other amenities. The SLS Brickell Hotel has the most amazing pool deck!! There are 3 pools (including a wading pool) and 2 jacuzzi’s, with several cabana’s lining the back. They also have a full bar in the center of the deck. They also have a gym and the Ciel Spa on the same floor.
All in all we had an amazing night stay. When we were ready to leave I was able to request my car from valet by text message and by the time we were packed up and downstairs, it was already there waiting for us!
Have you ever stayed at the SLS Brickell Hotel? And if so, how was your experience?
